It matters enormously for a specific group: trades, agriculture, warehouse work, anyone outdoors in British weather, and anyone who has already destroyed one vape by dropping it. Pairing the Z Fli with a mod

The Z Fli needs a 510 mod, and the choice is simpler than the market makes it look.

For a sub ohm tank you want comfortable headroom up to about 60 watts. You do not need a 200 watt device and you will never use that range. Battery capacity matters far more than maximum wattage, because a larger cell means fewer charges and that is what you notice day to day.

A single 18650 mod is adequate. A dual battery mod lasts roughly twice as long and weighs roughly twice as much, which is a genuine trade off rather than an obvious upgrade.

Finding the right wattage

Every coil has a recommended range printed on it. Start at the bottom of that range, not the top.

Too low and the flavour is thin and the vapour cool. Too high and you outrun the wick, producing a dry scorched note that people mistake for a defective coil. Work upward in small steps until the flavour is full but clean, then leave it alone.

Higher wattage is not better, it is hotter. Past a certain point you are cooking your e liquid and shortening coil life with nothing gained in satisfaction.

Your first week

Order the device, spare coils or pods, and two e liquid flavours together. Running short on any of the three mid week is the most common practical reason a switch away from cigarettes collapses.

Battery safety
